Maximalist Makeover
In August 2024, I transformed a Bristol guest room into a warm, maximalist retreat that celebrates personality and comfort. The space is filled with rich textures, layered patterns, and bold colours that create a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

Nearly all the furniture was upcycled or second-hand finds, adding character and sustainability to the design. From vintage pieces reimagined with fresh finishes to playful accessories sourced from charity shops, every element was chosen with care to reflect a lived-in, curated style.

You can watch the full making process on TikTok, where I documented each stage, from sourcing furniture to styling the final space. It’s a behind-the-scenes look at how I brought the room to life on a budget, using creativity, patience, and a love for repurposing beautiful things.
"Martha was incredible to work with from start to finish. She really took the time to understand our personal style and made sure the final design felt completely “us.” What really stood out was her ability to blend our existing furniture into the scheme, nothing felt wasted or overlooked. She stayed right on schedule and communicated everything clearly, which made the whole process feel smooth and stress-free."

"We were so impressed with Martha’s eye for detail and her commitment to working within our budget. She gave new life to some of our older pieces, which saved money and added so much character to the space. Her passion for sustainable design really shone through, and we felt like our values were honoured every step of the way. We couldn't be happier with the result, it’s a space that feels fresh, thoughtful, and totally unique to us."
